hey there!

in case we haven’t met yet, my name is Mikayla!

I was very athletic growing up. I enjoyed playing basketball for 7 years. Improving my athleticism and learning how to work with a team taught me a lot. I was introduced to the weight room during college basketball and that’s where my passion for lifting began. My interest in health expanded as I began working at a physical therapy clinic and officially became a certified trainer in 2020. While dealing with many injuries myself, working with physical therapists, and athletic trainers helped me gain knowledge in injury prevention and corrective exercise. To further my experience, I hired my first coach to help me build my desired physique. Soon after this, I was able to dive full time into my current business, MikaylaDanielleFitness. I fell in love with the process of training which led me to step on stage at my first bodybuilding competition at 24 years old. 

I consider it an honor and joy to walk alongside others in their journey’s to better their health. I’ve been learning and growing through my own fitness journey for 7+ years now, and it's my goal to help guide you in understanding the importance of viewing this as a lifestyle rather than a quick fix. Our bodies are a gift, so learning how to properly take care of them is vital to our longevity.

MY OWN PERSONAL STORY

I want you to feel validated and seen in your own journey. I used to have a horrible relationship with my mind, body, and food, which caused years of healing to take place! You should never have to feel the need to punish your body for any reason. You can heal and discover the joy that this holistic lifestyle brings!

2016 - 2017

Growing in confidence and strength is a beautiful thing. I finally came to a point in understanding that this takes TIME. Your health journey is not a quick fix. The consistency you have each week truly makes a difference overtime. Do not give up on yourself!

2020 - 2022

I have always been a big goal setter. The results I saw after staying consistent and patient overtime led me to want to work even harder for an even bigger goal. I learned that if I truly wanted to grow, I had to be okay with it taking longer than just a few months. I am a driven, disciplined individual which made bodybuilding a perfect fit for me. I worked 9 months to prepare for this comp and it truly taught me so much about myself. I am forever thankful for this experience I got to have!

2022 - 2023

It is a joy to look back at each and every version of myself over the years because it has led me to where I am now. I currently have been on my own journey of healing my hormones, and becoming more in tune with my body. While I don’t have a major goal (like bodybuilding) currently to work towards, I’m diving deeper into all aspects of my own health. How I feel, who I am, and what I think about myself are far more valuable than chasing an aesthetic physique. I look forward to gaining more knowledge in these aspects while taking one day at a time!!!!
